Back when I was a kid, I had to undergo eight stitches for slipping on a wet floor right after using our bathtub. Good thing I didn’t end up a “vegetable” in a hospital attached to tubes and weird sounding machines. Better yet, I ‘m glad I didn’t end up six feet under. But that incident was enough to traumatize me. And to this day, I carry this fear of having an accident in the bathroom. But my fiancé loves to bathe in tubs. And I had to turn down an offer to spend some “us” time. I told him that the only time he’d ever get me to join him in the tub is if he had one of those safe bath tubs.

I am just lucky that he truly loves me because he had his old bathtub out and had the latest among safe bath tubs installed in his pad. He even showed me all his safe bathing products just so I’d be assured no accident would happen in the bathroom. “Us” time is more frequent now—in the tub.
