There are many different types of self-help e-books. Most of them deal with one of four topics. Depression Self Help e-books provide you with information about coping with depression. Many of these e-books give you step by step guides to coping with your own depression, and may include journaling ideas and techniques. Some of these e-books help you recognize signs of depression in your spouse or child, and some give guidance on helping that spouse or teenager cope with their depression. Anxiety Self Help e-books work much the same way, giving you a step by step guide on overcoming anxiety and dealing with anxiety attacks.

Self Help Stress e-books give you information on coping with and reducing stress. These too tend to be step by step guides that help you eliminate stress or stop worrying about things not in your control. They may include budgeting techniques, journaling ideas, and guidelines for your family to help you eliminate stress from your life.

Finally, self help hypnosis books teach you how to use hypnosis to overcome barriers in your life. There may be books to help you quit smoking or lose weight. Most of these books come with audio files to administer the hypnosis, or give step by step instructions on how to administer hypnosis techniques with someone else.
