We were out going to garage sales one Saturday morning and happened to come upon a sale of a computer company that was selling everything down to the fixtures. It seems that the owner had passed away and his kids did not want to run it, so they just decided to close it.
The other people, who were there, knew that everything was priced way under retail. One guy bought six used iseries servers alone and told my husband that he would be able to triple his money by reselling them. I figured that if he could sell the used iseries servers for triple the money, then I could do the same.
I chose to buy four pseries servers and hoped that the gentleman that spoke to my husband about making money on the resell with these things was right. We paid a lot of money for servers that I knew nothing about.
When we got home, we called our grandson who knew a lot more about computer stuff then we did. He drove over and helped us load all of the information and pictures onto the auction site he recommended and we sat back and waited for our big windfall.
We were able to triple our money on three of the used iseries servers and double it on one of them. All in all, we made a lot of money and were glad that we stopped at that sale that day.
